Deck overview

This deck pairs Viconia, Drow Apostate with Tavern Brawler to execute a unique high-mana-value cycling and Voltron strategy in Rakdos colors. Instead of playing standard low-curve spells, the deck is packed with high-CMC creatures featuring cheap cycling and landcycling costs alongside modal double-faced land cards. Early landcycling reliably fixes colors, hits land drops, and quickly deposits four creature cards into the graveyard. On turn 4, both commanders hit the battlefield. Starting on turn 5, Tavern Brawler exiles a card each upkeep to grant Viconia massive power boosts (+5 to +15) while providing pseudo-draw, and Viconia continuously recurs creatures to hand. The deck applies severe commander damage pressure while utilizing asymmetric attrition pieces like Archfiend of Ifnir and Mindslicer. Backup lines leverage heavy reanimation, emerge mechanics, and direct-damage triggers to finish off opponents.
