Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue tempo and clone control strategy commanded by Orvar, the All-Form. Rather than racing toward high-speed competitive infinite combos, it leverages Orvar's cast trigger alongside a deep package of cheap, single-target cantrips like Cerulean Wisps, Shadow Rift, and Twisted Image to duplicate high-impact permanents. The deck establishes early control using efficient countermagic and card selection before assembling Orvar on Turn 4 or 5. Once online, duplicating value engines like Archmage Emeritus and Aether Channeler buries opponents in cards and tempo. The primary win condition centers on creating copies of Master of Waves, which rapidly compounds blue devotion and pumps an unmanageable swarm of Elemental tokens, or locking out blockers with Scourge of Fleets. Backed by defensive phasing tools such as March of Swirling Mist and Slip Out the Back, the deck reliably shields its win condition across a single opponent response cycle before closing out the game through combat damage.
