Deck overview

This is a general-power Orzhov reanimator deck centered on Shilgengar, Sire of Famine. Its main plan is to place large creatures in the graveyard with Buried Alive, use Reanimate or another recursion spell to return an Angel, sacrifice that Angel for Blood tokens, and activate Shilgengar, Sire of Famine to return the graveyard at once. The strongest ordinary board combines Avacyn, Angel of Hope with Grave Titan and Herald of the Host, creating protection, Zombies, and a two-combat flying attack. A control-oriented version uses Sheoldred, Whispering One and Liesa, Forgotten Archangel for recurring sacrifice and exile pressure. The deck has useful creature removal and several recursion effects, but limited tutoring, no reliable countermagic, and no compact infinite combo. Its finish is exposed to exile, bounce, sacrifice, graveyard hate, blockers, and disruption before the commander activation.
