Deck overview

This Jeskai deck is an aggressive combat-focused strategy built around Sonic the Hedgehog, modified creature synergies, and crossover combat engines. The early game establishes mana rocks and cheap utility creatures with haste or flash. On Turn 4, casting Sonic allows immediate attacks that distribute +1/+1 counters across the board while turning incidental damage into Treasure tokens. During the mid-game, the deck leverages these counters with potent damage multipliers such as Raphael, the Muscle, Chocobo Knights, and Sigarda's Vanguard, converting a modest board into lethal combat swings. A supporting package of Angels provides evasive backup and defensive life totals through Lyra Dawnbringer and Sephara, Sky's Blade. While the deck features strong permanent removal and protective spells like Restoration Magic, it lacks stack-based counterspells and dense card advantage engines, making it reliant on maintaining continuous combat momentum to close out games by Turn 8.
