Commander: Kaalia of the Vast

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Kaalia of the Vast is a Mardu cheat-into-play deck built to attack with the commander and drop Angels, Demons, and Dragons into play tapped and attacking. The primary plan is to build a fast board of large flyers, with a secondary reanimation angle through Victimize, Rakdos Joins Up, and Tariel, plus a compact extra-combat package in Aurelia and Zariel that turns Kaalia's trigger into multiple cheat steps per turn. Kaalia is the engine; without her the deck becomes a slow midrange pile. The deck is powerful in battle but high-variance: it has broad removal and resilient bombs, yet its tapped-heavy lands, high curve, and thin tutoring make setup the real challenge.
