Deck overview

This is a combat-oriented Equipment deck built around Dogmeat, Ever Loyal. The commander mills five cards on entry and returns an Aura or Equipment, then rewards attacks by equipped or enchanted creatures with Junk tokens. The deck uses Cloud, Midgar Mercenary, Astor, Bearer of Blades, Cid, Freeflier Pilot, Forge Anew, and Red XIII, Proud Warrior to find or recover Equipment. Its strongest turns come from stacking Equipment on legendary attackers, then exploiting double strike, extra combats, card draw, and occasional free spells from Buster Sword. Puresteel Paladin, Sigarda's Aid, Danitha Capashen, Paragon, and Bruenor Battlehammer reduce deployment costs. The deck has reasonable spot removal and several protection effects, but it develops slowly, depends on combat, and has no compact deterministic finish. It can create a dangerous board around turn 8, yet opponents retain several opportunities to remove the commander, Equipment, or attackers before the deck can defeat the table.
