Deck overview

Willie Lumpkin, Postman leads an Azorius Voltron and pillowfort control strategy built around unblockable commander damage and hand-size scaling. Casting Willie on Turn 2 allows the pilot to make unblocked attacks starting on Turn 3, generating recurring card draw while offering opponents a card that prevents them from attacking back. The deck converts this card advantage into lethal force using hand-size scaling effects like Empyrial Armor, Empyrial Plate, All That Glitters, and Nettlecyst, amplified by double strike enablers like Flaming Fist and Battle Mastery. A sturdy pillowfort shell featuring Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, and The Second Doctor keeps enemy combat at bay. Backed by low-cost protection spells, versatile countermagic, and asymmetric sweepers like Single Combat, the deck methodically eliminates opponents one by one.
