Deck overview

This Edgar Markov deck is an aggressive Mardu Vampire tribal and aristocrats deck that applies rapid, compounding pressure. By leveraging Edgar Markov's eminence ability from the command zone, every Vampire spell cast creates a 1/1 Vampire token at zero additional mana cost. The deck quickly establishes a wide board of creatures that feed sacrifice outlets like Bartolomé del Presidio and Phyrexian Altar, triggering recurring life drain through staples like Blood Artist, Vein Ripper, and The Meathook Massacre. It can close games swiftly through an explosive combat overrun using Akroma's Will or by assembling the infinite two-card drain loop of Bloodthirsty Conqueror with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Marauding Blight-Priest. Supported by free interactive spells such as Deflecting Swat and Deadly Rollick, the deck maintains aggressive tempo while defending its engine against opposing disruption.
