Deck overview

This Boros deck executes a focused Dwarf tribal and artifact token strategy led by Thorin, King of Durin's Folk. The early game focuses on deploying low-cost Dwarf creatures and mana rocks to set up the commander on Turn 4. Once Thorin enters, every subsequent Dwarf generates Treasure tokens while Thorin grants all other Dwarves +1/+0 for each artifact token on the battlefield. By Turn 6, the deck accumulates a dense pile of Treasures through cards like Xorn, Academy Manufactor, and Magda, Brazen Outlaw, transforming small utility creatures into lethal threats that attack for massive damage. While the deck possesses strong single-target removal, solid board recovery, and alternative win conditions like Hellkite Tyrant, its primary win route remains grounded in combat. This leaves it dependent on resolving board protection spells like Boros Charm and Flawless Maneuver to safeguard its army against sweepers.
