Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mono-Red Dragon Tribal deck led by Lathliss, Dragon Queen. The primary game plan revolves around deploying early mana acceleration and cost reducers like Dragonlord's Servant and Dragonspeaker Shaman to cast Lathliss ahead of curve on Turn 5. Once Lathliss is on the battlefield, casting subsequent nontoken Dragons floods the board with 5/5 flying Dragon tokens. Synergies like Dragon Tempest, Scourge of Valkas, and Terror of Mount Velus translate these creature deployments into massive bursts of direct damage and double-strike combat steps. The deck relies on high threat redundancy, allowing it to pivot into independent bombs like Utvara Hellkite or Drakuseth, Maw of Flames if the commander is removed. However, the list has limited stack interaction and minimal protection spells, making it vulnerable to well-timed board wipes and targeted spot removal.
