Deck overview

This deck is an optimized Temur Voltron and Midrange engine led by Haldan, Avid Arcanist and Pako, Arcane Retriever. The primary strategy leverages dense 1–2 mana acceleration and burst rituals to deploy Pako, Arcane Retriever on Turn 2 or 3. Because Pako enters with haste, it attacks immediately, growing with +1/+1 counters and exiling four cards per combat step across all players' libraries. Haldan, Avid Arcanist converts this accumulated exile pool into continuous land drops and noncreature spells, out-resourcing opponents while keeping cards protected from hand disruption. The deck protects its commander using free and ultra-cheap interaction such as Fierce Guardianship and Deflecting Swat, while asymmetric stax pieces like Cursed Totem, Torpor Orb, and Grafdigger's Cage paralyze opposing creature and graveyard strategies without impeding the partners. The game finishes via runaway commander damage, multi-combat spells like Seize the Day, board wipes like Chandra's Ignition, or the infinite combat combo of Aggravated Assault and Bear Umbra.
