Deck overview

This deck is a five-color artifact midrange deck commanded by Karn, Gilded Guardian. The core game plan focuses on establishing a diverse spectrum of colored artifacts—including Heartwood tokens, artifact equipment, and artifact creatures—to maximize Karn's enter-the-battlefield card draw. Once the hand is refilled, the deck transitions into a lethal combat threat using high-scaling artifact beaters like Bronze Guardian, Aerid Konstrari, Ghalta the Unstoppable, and Hellkite Tyrant. Disruptive airbending mechanics and interactive bounce spells keep problematic opposing permanents off tempo, while protective cards like Clever Concealment, Ultimate Magic: Holy, and Bronze Guardian shield key permanents against removal. Without relying on compact infinite combos, the deck uses resilient historic recursion and wide artifact synergy to grind down opponents and close out the game through overwhelming combat damage.
