Deck overview

This deck is an optimized tempo and burn strategy built around Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. The primary game plan deploys low-cost evasive creatures on Turn 1, using Commander Ninjutsu on Turn 2 to cheat Yuriko onto the battlefield unblocked. Whenever a Ninja connects with an opponent, Yuriko reveals the top card of the library, puts it into hand, and drains each opponent for that card's mana value. The deck maximizes this damage by stacking high-mana-value spells such as Shadow of Mortality, Temporal Trespass, and Dig Through Time on top of the library using Brainstorm, Scroll Rack, and cheap black tutors. While generating massive card flow, the deck holds up a dense suite of zero-mana countermagic and removal, including Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship, and Deadly Rollick. This allows the deck to disrupt opposing game plans without slowing down its rapid clock, routinely eliminating all three opponents around Turn 6.
