Commander: Ovika, Enigma Goliath

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Izzet spellslinger deck uses a dense suite of counterspells and removal to control the board while developing mana artifacts. Its primary goal is landing the seven-mana commander, Ovika, Enigma Goliath. Once Ovika is on the battlefield, every noncreature spell produces a swarm of Phyrexian Goblin tokens with haste scaled to that spell's mana value. The deck converts these tokens into lethal board states using Shared Animosity, Banner of Kinship, and City on Fire for overwhelming combat attacks. Alternatively, it finishes opponents out of combat using group-slug burn and sacrifice outlets like Impact Tremors, General Kreat, the Boltbringer, and Goblin Bombardment.
