UltimatePlayerDamage by Mystical-Brewer

Format: Commander

Commander: Heartless Hidetsugu

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This mono-red burn deck is built around the explosive potential of Heartless Hidetsugu, whose tap ability deals half of each player's life total (rounded down). The primary game plan is to deploy one or more damage-doubling effects-such as Furnace of Rath, Dictate of the Twin Gods, or Solphim, Mayhem Dominus-and then activate the commander to eliminate the entire table in a single turn. Secondary burn spells like Boltwave, Guttersnipe, and Purphoros, God of the Forge provide incremental pressure and help clean up odd life totals. The deck leans heavily on its commander as the finisher, supported by a small package of cost reduction, mana acceleration, and a handful of instant-speed removal spells. It is a high-variance, glass-cannon strategy that either wins explosively or struggles to recover from disruption.
