Gandalf the Grey Token/Burn by FilipinoStarkey

Format: Commander

Commander: Gandalf the Grey

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet Spellslinger strategy featuring Gandalf the Grey, focusing on extracting maximum value from instant and sorcery casts. The game plan centers on navigating Gandalf s four modal triggers-specifically the "Copy" and "Burn" modes-to generate card advantage and whittle down opponents. The deck utilizes a high density of "pingers" like Coruscation Mage and Thermo-Alchemist to supplement Gandalf s damage. By using flicker effects like Conjurer's Closet or Gandalf's own "top of library" mode, the deck resets his ability cycle to repeatedly copy high-impact spells like Jeska's Will or Mathemagics. Victory is typically achieved through incremental burn damage, token swarms from Young Pyromancer, or a massive, copied X-spell.
