Deck overview

Liesa, Shroud of Dusk leads a classic Orzhov "tax-and-drain" attrition shell. Every spell anyone casts costs life (Liesa's 2, plus Kambal, Consul of Allocation, Mai, Scornful Striker, Rug of Smothering, Painful Quandary, and The Frightful Four), while a dense hatebear package - Archon of Emeria, Thalia, Heretic Cathar, Hushbringer, Blind Obedience, Authority of the Consuls, and Drana and Linvala - slows opponents to a crawl. The deck then converts its own life gain into table-wide drain through Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Sanguine Bond, Cliffhaven Vampire, Marauding Blight-Priest, and friends, doubling payoffs with Rhox Faithmender, The Wind Crystal, and Selenia, the Cursed Heart. Liesa's commander-tax dodge (pay 2 life instead) means she comes back cheaply forever, turning the commander tax into fuel rather than a setback. The primary path is grinding the table to zero through passive triggers; a secondary infinite line exists in Exquisite Blood plus any lifegain-drain piece, though it is drawn into rather than tutored.
