Format: Commander

Commander: Vivi Ornitier

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Vivi Ornitier leads a UR Wizard spellslinger deck that uses cheap noncreature spells to grow her power, drain opponents, and bank mana for a big turn. The primary plan is to assemble Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind with one of Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Tandem Lookout; after that, any cantrip becomes an infinite ping/draw loop. Baral, Stonybrook Banneret, Ruby/Sapphire Medallion, and Vivi's {0} ability reduce costs and provide burst mana. When the combo isn't available, Harmonic Prodigy, Ghyrson Starn, Guttersnipe, and other Wizard pingers turn copied spells and Arcane Bombardment into lethal chip damage. The hidden commander is Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind; Vivi is the accelerant and shutdown valve. Secondary value engines include Kindred Discovery, Azami, and Archmage Emeritus.
