Deck overview

The Wise Mothman commands a Sultai midrange deck that blends mill attrition, radiation counters, and explosive +1/+1 counter scaling. Early turns focus on establishing mana acceleration with mana rocks and land ramp, allowing the commander to hit the battlefield on Turn 4. As players mill nonland cards from rad counters during their precombat main phases, Mothman distributes +1/+1 counters across your board to build massive mutant threats. Mid-game turns amplify this growth using multipliers like Branching Evolution and Corpsejack Menace, resilient beaters like Agent Frank Horrigan, and mass proliferate spells like Radstorm. The deck establishes critical lethal pressure on Turn 6, threatening individual eliminations through large flying commander attacks before closing out the table around Turn 8. High-impact removal like Casualties of War and Nuclear Fallout clears blockers and disrupts opposing engines while keeping your combat plan on track.
