Deck overview

This deck is an Esper spellslinger midrange build built around Y'shtola, Night's Blessed. Its game plan revolves around deploying Y'shtola alongside complimentary legendary creatures and token generators, then casting noncreature spells of mana value 3 or greater to drain opponents, maintain hand size, and amass flying or ground tokens. The deck features strong single-target removal and sweeper capabilities, allowing it to navigate the mid-game comfortably while drawing cards via Y'shtola's end-step trigger, Archmage Emeritus, and big draw spells. While resilient in casual multiplayer settings due to steady life gain and defensive deterrents like Propaganda, the deck plays at a measured pace. It lacks hyper-efficient combo finishes, relying instead on incremental burn, Exsanguinate, and token swarms to finish games around Turn 10.
