Deck overview

This deck is a Mardu aggro-burn strategy commanded by Fire Lord Zuko. It leverages impulse draw, exile blink effects, and the airbending mechanic to trigger Zuko's ability, distributing +1/+1 counters across your creatures whenever cards are cast or enter from exile. Combat-generated red mana from Firebending fuels mid-combat spellcasting and abilities. The deck converts these exile triggers into direct table damage through payoffs like All Will Be One, Casey Jones, Back Alley Brute, Quintorius Kand, and Passionate Archaeologist. Early turns focus on mana acceleration and deploying low-cost enablers. Midgame turns ramp into wide combat swings and high-output burn sequences that close out the game around Turn 8. While resilient against single-target removal due to redirection and blink spells, the deck is vulnerable to sweeping board wipes.
