Commander: Zaffai and the Tempests

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This deck is a high-octane Izzet spellslinger combo engine helmed by Zaffai and the Tempests. The primary game plan is to explosive ramp with rituals and fast mana (Mana Vault, Grim Monolith, Pyretic Ritual, Seething Song), deploy the commander early, and use its once-per-turn free spell ability to chain extra turns. Once the turn loop is established, the deck wins via Enter the Infinite + Thassa's Oracle or by repeating Nexus of Fate indefinitely. Secondary paths include storming off with Mind's Desire or using Mizzix's Mastery to flashback a critical mass of spells. The deck is highly interactive, packing a dense counter suite to protect its combo turn, and aims to close the game by turn 5-6 in a median goldfish.
