Deck overview

This Meren of Clan Nel Toth deck operates as a high-powered Golgari reanimator and lands-based engine. It leverages fast mana, efficient creature sacrifice, and world-class tutors to rapidly seed the graveyard and establish insurmountable resource disparity. By Turn 3, the deck deploys Meren or powerful engines such as Survival of the Fittest and Life from the Loam. On Turn 4, it leverages mass recursion spells like Living Death and Dread Return to reanimate massive threats such as Lumra, Bellow of the Woods, generate wide token armies with Field of the Dead, and drain opponents via Zulaport Cutthroat and sac outlets. The deck features high redundancy, flexible utility creatures like Cankerbloom and Spore Frog, and multiple independent win conditions that function seamlessly without the commander.
