Deck overview

Blech, Loafing Pest rewards every life-gain event by placing counters on a broad group of creature types. The deck therefore develops small life-gain creatures, Pest tokens, Insects, Bats, Snakes, and other qualifying bodies, then converts those triggers into a larger combat board. Hardened Scales, Winding Constrictor, Duskshell Crawler, and Kodama of the West Tree improve the counter plan, while Stocking the Pantry, Inspiring Call, and Ohran Frostfang provide conditional card flow. The strongest closing attempt is usually Triumph of the Hordes after several turns of development. It can produce a credible attack around turn 7, but it is not a supported all-table kill: it normally eliminates at most one opponent and leaves the other two requiring later combat damage. Removal and protection are serviceable for a mid-power creature deck, but the list has little stack interaction, limited tutoring, and slow recovery after a board wipe.
