Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos big mana and burn strategy helmed by Ozai, the Phoenix King. The primary game plan revolves around accelerating mana to cast Ozai on Turn 6. With haste and firebending 4, Ozai immediately attacks to generate and bank unspent red mana across phases and turns. Once Ozai banks six or more mana, he becomes an indestructible, flying 7/7 threat that powers out devastating X-cost burn spells like Crackle with Power, Delete, and Volcanic Geyser. The deck supports this aggressive burn plan with auxiliary firebending creatures, burst mana rituals like Geosurge and Mana Geyser, and board control spells like The Rise of Sozin. While explosive when unanswered, the deck carries a lean land count of 28 lands and minimal defensive protection, requiring careful sequencing to ensure Ozai survives his initial deployment.
