Commander: Smaug, Wicked Worm

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Smaug, Wicked Worm leads a Rakdos Treasure-Dragon deck that turns opponent artifacts into ramp and card advantage. Smaug creates tapped Treasures equal to opponents' artifacts and draws cards when you spend Treasure mana. The deck uses that mana to cast Dragons at discount, generate more Treasures, and drain opponents with sacrifice payoffs. Primary wins are combat with hasty Dragons boosted by Terror of the Peaks and Twinflame Tyrant, and alternate upkeep wins with Revel in Riches and Hellkite Tyrant. Secondary drain comes from Mirkwood Bats, Marionette Apprentice, Disciple of the Vault, and Mayhem Devil. Magda and Goldspan Dragon act as hidden engines that tutor and double Treasure value.
