Deck overview

This deck uses Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin as a five-mana discard-and-draw engine, then converts a large spell count into Dragons, card flow, and damage. Rite of the Dragoncaller, Archmage Emeritus, Niv-Mizzet, Visionary, and Gandalf, Goblins' Bane // Flameshape reward continued instant and sorcery casting. The deck has strong high-end turns through Jeska's Will, Seething Song, Mana Geyser, cost reducers, and Lotus Field, but its normal curve is slow and its win route is not compact. The first serious board is usually around turn 8, when Rite of the Dragoncaller and several spells can produce multiple Dragons. That board remains exposed to creature, enchantment, and counterspell interaction. Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin can transform after paying eight mana, but the transformed ability is value rather than an immediate kill. Mulligans should prioritize lands, early acceleration, and cheap selection. Treat the list as a value-oriented battlecruiser-to-mid-power spells deck, not a competitive combo deck.
