Deck overview

This Grixis deck is commanded by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria and built around a synergistic Villain tribal and discard-burn engine. The strategy focuses on deploying low-mana Villains early, resolving Doctor Doom on Turn 4, and utilizing the combat connive trigger to filter cards, buff creatures with +1/+1 counters, and trigger life-loss effects on opponents whenever lands are discarded. Mid-game scaling comes from powerful discard payoffs like Brallin, Skyshark Rider, Magmakin Artillerist, and Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon, which translate card velocity into table-wide direct damage and massive evasive attackers. The deck also includes explosive finishers like Living Laser and an incidental end-step loop between Brallin, Skyshark Rider and Curiosity. Backed by a robust Grixis removal and counterspell suite, the deck maintains steady pressure while grinding down opposing life totals.
