Deck overview

This is an Abzan counters-and-graveyard value deck built around Tayam, Luminous Enigma. The plan is to fill the board with creatures that enter with extra counters, feed those counters into Tayam's activated ability to mill three and reanimate a small permanent, and turn the graveyard into a second hand. The primary wins are a compact sacrifice loop using Ashnod's Altar/Phyrexian Altar plus Insidious Roots that generates infinite death/ETB triggers, drained out by Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim or Marionette Apprentice, and a late-game Eerie Ultimatum reset into an unblockable swarm powered by Champion of Lambholt and Bristly Bill, Spine Sower. It is a grindy midrange combo/value hybrid rather than a fast all-in combo deck.
