Kudo, King Among Bears by Sereus

Format: Commander

Commander: Kudo, King Among Bears

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Selesnya deck helmed by Kudo, King Among Bears leverages a unique symmetrical effect that sets all creatures base power and toughness to 2/2, turning opponents large threats into manageable bears while simultaneously enabling the deck s own +1/+1 counter synergy. The primary game plan is to generate overwhelming combat value by deploying a critical mass of counter-doublers (Branching Evolution, Hardened Scales, Conclave Mentor), token makers (Secure the Wastes, March of the Multitudes), and bear-tribal synergies (Ayula, Queen Among Bears, Wilson, Refined Grizzly). Kudo s anthem-like effect makes even small tokens effective, but the deck relies heavily on stacking +1/+1 counters to break parity and push through lethal damage. Wins are achieved through wide swings with pump effects (Cathars Crusade, Beastmaster Ascension) or tall threats from Sovereign Okinec Ahau and Titania s Command. The deck lacks infinite combos, instead focusing on incremental value and combat inevitability.
