Mutatie by Mystical-Brewer

Format: Commander

Commander: Nethroi, Apex of Death

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Abzan deck is a graveyard-centric mutate/reanimator strategy helmed by Nethroi, Apex of Death. The primary game plan uses self-mill to fill the graveyard, then casts Nethroi for its mutate cost to return a bundle of creatures with total power 10 or less. The deck also leverages other mutate creatures for additional value (removal, ramp, token generation) and includes drain outlets like Syr Konrad, the Grim and Blood Artist to chip away at opponents. Secondary win conditions involve overwhelming combat boards or repeated recursion via Living Death and Eerie Ultimatum. The deck lacks infinite combos and relies on incremental value, recursion, and a resilient board state to outlast opponents.
