Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Simic token swarm and +1/+1 counter strategy commanded by The Astonishing Ant-Man. The game plan revolves around deploying Ant-Man early, growing him rapidly through natural and burst card draw, and converting those counters into a wide army of 1/1 green Insect tokens. Once a board of insects is established, the deck leverages combat damage draw triggers like Bident of Thassa and Reconnaissance Mission to keep the hand full of resources while seeking decisive combat multipliers. Finishers such as Unnatural Growth, Nissa, Ascended Animist, and Defiler of Vigor turn the modest insect army into lethal threats that can overwhelm a pod in two combat rotations. The deck features strong card velocity and smooth rebuilding potential, balanced by inherent vulnerability to creature sweepers and an absence of hard creature spot removal.
