Deck overview

This Dimir deck revolves around Taskmaster, Mercenary Mimic, leveraging copy effects and villain synergies to adapt to and scale with the table's power level. The game plan focuses on deploying early mana rocks and utility creatures, resolving Taskmaster on Turn 4, and utilizing its first main phase ability to copy premier threats from any graveyard or battlefield. Backed by a deep suite of shapeshifters such as Undercover Operative, Gigantoplasm, and Vizier of Many Faces, the deck duplicates high-value targets to create asymmetric board states. Win conditions involve overwhelming opponents through combat with equipment like Blade of Selves, stealing key threats with Corrupted Conscience, or resetting the table with Singularity Rupture while retaining board presence. The deck excels at resilience and role flexibility but relies on fair combat damage, making it susceptible to heavy board wipes and fast combo strategies.
