Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black control and attrition strategy commanded by Vincent Valentine // Galian Beast. The primary game plan revolves around casting Vincent on curve and deploying global edict effects such as Fleshbag Marauder, Plaguecrafter, and Archfiend of Depravity. Whenever opposing creatures die, Vincent accumulates +1/+1 counters equal to their power. When Vincent attacks, he transforms into Galian Beast, a massive trampling, lifelinking threat with built-in death recursion. While Galian Beast pressures life totals and threatens commander damage kills, the deck generates asymmetric board locks using Dictate of Erebos and Butcher of Malakir. If the combat plan is disrupted, the deck pivots smoothly to alternative big mana drain lines powered by Cabal Coffers, Crypt Ghast, Torment of Hailfire, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel. The deck excels at dominating creature-heavy pods through relentless attrition.
