Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is commanded by Silverquill, the Disputant, blending spellslinger and aristocrats strategies by granting casualty 1 to every instant and sorcery spell cast. The deck generates disposable 1/1 tokens through engines like Sedgemoor Witch, Monastery Mentor, and Lingering Souls, then sacrifices them to copy high-impact draw spells, versatile removal, and explosive rituals. Card velocity from duplicated spells such as Plumb the Forbidden and Village Rites rapidly digs into mana converters like Warren Soultrader and Pitiless Plunderer. The deck closes games around turn 8 by converting vast token swarms and treasure generation into table-wide drain via Zulaport Cutthroat or duplicated X-spells like Debt to the Deathless and Exsanguinate. It features robust protection in Clever Concealment and Silence, making its mid-game engines resilient to sweepers and targeted removal.
