Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black midrange strategy commanded by Gonti, Night Minister. The game plan utilizes cheap, unblockable creatures like Changeling Outcast and Tormented Soul to trigger Gonti's combat damage ability reliably starting on Turn 4. Hitting opponents exiles their cards face down and grants permission to cast them, creating Treasure tokens whenever stolen spells are cast. This card advantage and mana generation fuel big-mana acceleration through Cabal Coffers, Crypt Ghast, and Black Market. In the mid-to-late game, the deck leverages these resources into game-ending threats such as Breach the Multiverse, Brainstealer Dragon, Marionette Master, and Torment of Hailfire. The interaction package features strong creature removal and sweepers alongside search denial from Opposition Agent. While resilient against single-target removal via equipment, the deck relies on high-volume card flow and big mana rather than fast combo lines to close out the table.
