Deck overview

An Esper enchantment-control deck built to dull opponents with stax pieces (Lavinia, Drannith, Blind Obedience, Oppression) while drawing via Mystic Remora, Esper Sentinel, and Necropotence. Zur, Eternal Schemer is both a protection and combat engine: he grants enchantment creatures hexproof/lifelink/deathtouch and can animate removal or draw-payoff enchantments. The primary kill is the Exquisite Blood + Enduring Tenacity loop, started by any incidental life loss (Kambal, extort, lifelink damage). The hidden double-faced Heliod, the Radiant Dawn // Heliod, the Warped Eclipse supplies enchantment recursion on the front and flash/cost-reduction on the back. Backup is a slow Zur-animated beatdown; control pieces usually stretch the game to the combo turn.
