Deck overview

This Heartless Hidetsugu deck is an explosive mono-red burn and combo deck designed to eliminate all three opponents in a single decisive action. The primary strategy centers on deploying Heartless Hidetsugu alongside a damage-doubling effect such as Furnace of Rath, Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, or Dictate of the Twin Gods. Because Hidetsugu deals noncombat damage equal to half of each player's life total rounded down, a multiplier scales that damage to exactly 100% of an even life total, instantly dealing 40 damage to opponents at starting life. The deck preserves its pilot through lifelink equipment like Basilisk Collar, prevention like Glacial Chasm or Dark Sphere, or asymmetric multipliers like Fiendish Duo. Backed by fast red acceleration, rituals, and supplementary burn to clean up odd-life totals, the deck aims to assemble its lethal setup by Turn 5 and close the game immediately with zero response cycles.
