Deck overview

This Orzhov deck blends aristocrat drain engines with explosive mass reanimation and redundant infinite combos. Helmed by Shilgengar, Sire of Famine, the primary game plan fills the graveyard with high-impact creatures using cards like Buried Alive and Warren Soultrader, then sacrifices Angel fodder to generate six Blood tokens. Shilgengar then returns the entire graveyard to play, triggering overwhelming life loss across the table via Massacre Wurm, Marionette Master, and Blood Artist. Alternatively, the deck can bypass the commander entirely by assembling an infinite life-drain loop using Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror alongside Sanguine Bond, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, or Marauding Blight-Priest. An elite suite of defensive spells including Teferi's Protection and Clever Concealment shields the board, while Solemnity breaks parity by nullifying finality counters on reanimated creatures.
