Commander: Skullbriar, the Walking Grave

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Golgari +1/+1 counter Voltron deck built around Skullbriar, the Walking Grave, using his haste and counter-persistence to build an unstoppable commander damage clock. The deck layers counter doublers (Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, Kami of Whispered Hopes, The Ozolith, the Shattered Spire) with evasion auras (Canopy Cover, My Precious) and protection spells to ensure Skullbriar connects every turn. Backup threats like Champion of Lambholt and Scythebat Cub provide alternate counter carriers, while Essence Harvest and Berserk offer burst finishes. The deck lacks traditional tutors or infinite combos, relying on redundancy of counter-placement effects to find its plan.
