Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis typal midrange strategy led by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. The game plan revolves around deploying synergistic Villain creatures, triggering combat connive abilities to filter cards and grow board presence, and punishing discards with direct table-wide life drain whenever lands hit the graveyard. Mana acceleration and cost-reducers establish Doctor Doom on Turn 4, enabling immediate combat value without additional mana investment. Discard-retention engines such as Containment Construct and Moonstone, Harsh Mistress convert loots into pure card advantage, while payoff threats like The Squadron Sinister, Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon, and Titania, Proud Pummeler turn widened boards into lethal combat steps around Turn 6. Supported by flexible removal and soft combat taxes, the deck grinds down opposing life totals and closes games reliably over sequential combat turns.
