Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue artifact strategy commanded by Lady Octopus, Inspired Inventor. The primary game plan revolves around casting Lady Octopus on Turn 1 and stacking ingenuity counters through regular draw steps, instant-speed cantrips on opponents' turns, and proliferate cards. Once Lady Octopus accumulates sufficient counters, she taps to cast massive, high-impact artifact spells directly from hand without paying their mana costs. Key payoffs include game-ending beaters like Blightsteel Colossus and Darksteel Colossus, asymmetric board control pieces like Portal to Phyrexia and Cityscape Leveler, and swarm finishers like Cyberdrive Awakener. Supporting engines such as Master Transmuter, Mycosynth Golem, and Archway of Innovation provide redundant avenues to deploy expensive threats even if the commander is removed. Efficient countermagic and spot removal protect the engine while the deck steadily eliminates the table through high-power combat steps.
