Format: Commander

Commander: High Perfect Morcant

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

High Perfect Morcant is a single-faced commander in a Golgari Elf-tribal build that wins through an overwhelming token board and Lathril's one-shot life drain. Morcant's ETB puts -1/-1 counters on opposing blockers while its proliferate ability advances the deck's counters and planeswalkers; the true hidden commander is Lathril, Blade of the Elves. The deck creates a critical mass of Elf tokens with Dwynen's Elite and Lys Alana Huntmaster, then uses Lathril to drain 10 life from each opponent, or uses Banner of Kinship to turn 12-14 Elves into lethal attackers. Golgari recursion from Meren and Cauldron of Essence keeps the board alive after wipes. The plan is resilient but stack-light, relying on permanent removal rather than counterspells.
