Deck overview

This deck is a Jund forced-combat control deck commanded by Thantis, the Warweaver. Its primary objective is to accelerate mana during the early turns, deploy defensive deterrents, and cast Thantis to compel all players into attacking each combat. By forcing opponents to attack, the deck strips away defensive blockers and induces mutual attrition across the table. Meanwhile, an extensive package of fog effects, such as Arachnogenesis and Obscuring Haze, alongside attack-punishing enchantments like Revenge of Ravens and No Mercy, ensures that incoming attacks are neutralized or heavily taxed. The deck wins by accumulating +1/+1 counters on Thantis, capitalizing on Rite of the Raging Storm tokens, and overwhelming weakened opponents in combat. While highly resilient against creature-based combat decks, its primary vulnerabilities lie in a lack of stack interaction against fast combo strategies and heavy reliance on keeping Thantis on the battlefield over multiple turn cycles.
