Deck overview

Rootha, Mastering the Moment leads a high-impact Izzet spellslinger deck that converts expensive instants and sorceries into massive flying threats. By casting large spells such as Magma Opus, Furygale Flocking, and Dance with Calamity, you trigger Rootha to create scaling Elemental creature tokens with flying and haste during combat. The deck accelerates into these spells using ritual mana like Mana Geyser and cost reducers like Stormcatch Mentor. To secure victory, you can overrun opponents with token multipliers such as Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer and Surge to Victory, or instantly end the game with the Dualcaster Mage and Twinflame infinite token combination.
