Thorin by Pinoxxc

Format: Commander

Commander: Thorin, King of Durin's Folk

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Boros Dwarf-tribal economy deck that turns every Dwarf entering the battlefield into Treasures and then leverages that hoard as both mana and raw power. Thorin, King of Durin's Folk is the keystone: his ETB trigger and all other Dwarf ETB triggers flood the board with artifact tokens, while his anthem makes each Dwarf hit harder for every Treasure in play. The deck snowballs through Smothering Tithe, Xorn, and Goldspan Dragon, converts its hoard into payoffs via Magda, Brazen Outlaw and Craterclaw Colossus, and closes games either through a swarm alpha strike with Shared Animosity and An Unexpected Party or through table-wide burn from Reckless Fireweaver and Terror of the Peaks. A giant swing comes from There and Back Again, whose Smaug token can die and dump fourteen Treasures onto the board in one go. It is a mid-speed, engine-heavy deck that rewards sequencing and artifact-token math rather than combo assembly.
