Deck overview

This Azorius deck leverages scry and surveil mechanics to trigger Denzilore Fatehold, placing +1/+1 counters on your entire creature board whenever you filter cards. Early turns establish evasive scrying creatures such as Faerie Seer and Nightveil Sprite, alongside low-cost mana rocks. Once Denzilore enters on turn 4, every scry and surveil action compounds power and toughness across all attackers. Card-advantage pieces like Matoya, Archon Elder and Pensive Professor replenish your hand as counters accumulate. The deck converts this growing board into a game-ending state by turn 6 using asymmetric evasion from Herald of Secret Streams and Abzan Falconer, or one-sided sweepers like Damning Verdict and Wave Goodbye. A comprehensive suite of instant-speed counterspells, phase-out effects like Clever Concealment, and indestructible spells like Flawless Maneuver defend the engine against opposing disruption until combat damage or Approach of the Second Sun finishes the table on turn 8.
