Animar x by user8518967

Format: Commander

Commander: Animar, Soul of Elements

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Animar, Soul of Elements is the mana-reduction engine for a +1/+1-counter and X-spell deck. The primary plan is to resolve large Hydras or Fractal producers, multiply counters with Hardened Scales/Kami/Tanazir Quandrix, and finish with trample or haste. The secondary plan uses Rosheen, Magus Lucea Kane, Unbound Flourishing, and Lattice Library to convert multiple X spells into huge mana, copied spells, and token armies; Jadzi's Oracle's Gift side can close with an enormous Fractal swarm. The commander is an accelerant rather than the win condition, and the deck's hidden engine is the X-cost package, so losing Animar slows but does not stop the plan.
