Deck overview

The deck wins by building a wide Vampire board while Edgar Markov remains in the command zone. Cheap Vampires such as Voldaren Epicure, Indulgent Aristocrat, and Vampire Gourmand generate extra bodies through eminence, then anthems and attack triggers turn that board into combat pressure. Warleader's Call, Intangible Virtue, Etchings of the Chosen, Drana, Liberator of Malakir, and Moonshaker Cavalry provide scaling power. Sacrifice cards such as Bartolomé del Presidio, Warren Soultrader, and Vermin Gorger give the deck alternate value and life-drain lines. Its main limits are tapped lands, modest acceleration, no counterspell package, and no compact deterministic finisher. It can establish a threatening board around turn 7, but it usually needs several combat steps and remains vulnerable to sweepers and exile removal.
