Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Mardu Vampire tribal engine commanded by Edgar Markov. It leverages Edgar's Eminence ability to generate a free 1/1 Vampire token whenever any Vampire spell is cast, creating a wide and resilient board state from Turn 1 without needing to cast the commander early. The deck curves aggressively with efficient 1- and 2-drop Vampires into potent combat multipliers like Shared Animosity, Cordial Vampire, and Sanctum Seeker. As the board expands, aristocrat drain effects from Blood Artist, Bastion of Remembrance, and Vein Ripper ensure that opponents take lethal damage whether your creatures connect in combat or die to sweepers. High-impact mass reanimation spells like Patriarch's Bidding and Living Death provide rapid recovery, while the two-card combo of Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond offers a deterministic alternate win condition. The list combines rapid go-wide combat pressure with layered life-drain attrition.
